On Thursday, March 23rd, the LA Trade Tech College “Construction Career Awareness Day” was a success! Over 1,500 students from various high schools had the opportunity to network and explore possible construction career options and learn about other trades such as culinary and cosmetology. Students ended their tours with a nutritious lunch provided by the Food Services Division.
Opening Day - Phase 2, Hot Supper Meals-It’s 2:15 in the afternoon. Maria Vasquez and the Café LA staff at Huntington Park Elementary are almost ready for their first day of service. Hot Supper Meals are loaded in the carts and Principal Ocampo’s voice is coming through the speaker. With great enthusiasm, he announces the Hot Supper Meal Program and encourages
students to participate.
Food Services Division supports the different activities and events that happen throughout LAUSD. This was the case this past Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Cleveland High School where a few hundred students from the Northwest area of the District displayed their robots, and science and technology projects at the Northwest STEAMFest.
