Mr. Joseph Vaughn, Food Services Director, presented Timikel Sharpe with a Retirement Proclamation on May 23rd at a retirement ceremony. The proclamation was issued and signed by the Board of Education and the Superintendent of Schools
wishing her well in all of her future endeavors. Food Services would like to thank her for all the time and effort she has dedicated to serving the administrators, teachers, staff, students, and parents of the LAUSD. Congratulations to Timikel on her retirement!
Outstanding Attendance! Toni Palmer, Food Service Worker at Washington Preparatory Senior High, has outstanding attendance over the last two years. She did not even use vacation days outside of spring and winter breaks. She has literally come to work every single day of the work schedule. Ms. Sandra Pryer, her manager, is so proud of Toni that she had prepared a special breakfast just for her to celebrate her commitment to work.

Chocolate Milk is Back! Cafeteria Manager, Rosa Garcia, and her staff at John Leichty Middle School encountered great excitement from students with the return of chocolate milk on May 1, 2017. We spoke to a group of students who all said the only reason they came to the cafeteria was for the chocolate milk.
