  • Breaking The LAWS Interdisciplinary Project Competition

    Breaking the LAWS is an interdisciplinary project competition between the secondary schools in Local District Northwest of LAUSD. Student teams will research the water shortage in Los Angeles, design solutions to help deal with the issue, and create an informative documentary with guidance from acclaimed film producer Steve Nicolaides which can serve as a call to action for their communities. The documentaries from each high school will be shown at a culminating film festival judged by professionals in the film industry, and the winning entry will be shown alongside “Eyes on the Sky” at a Los Angeles community event. Kickoff Event: December 3, 2016 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Reseda High School
